About The Guild
Who We Are
The Gamers Guild is Western Australia’s premier tabletop roleplaying club. Established in 1986, we focus on providing a convivial venue for tabletop roleplaying groups. However, we support all forms of tabletop games and gaming, including card games, board games and miniature wargames, and welcome all players who would like to use our space for these purposes.
When We Meet
We are open from noon till midnight most Saturdays. Most tabletop roleplaying campaigns run on a fortnightly basis, either in the afternoon (lunchtime to dinnertime, roughly noon till 6) or in the evening (after dinner till late, roughly 7 till midnight). On the calendar below, “Week A” and “Week B” indicate the fortnightly structure of the regular campaigns.
Location
The Gamers Guild is located in the Cyril Jackson Recreation Centre, near the corner of Fisher St and Haig St in Bassendean. It’s located just off Guildford Road, about 5 minutes drive from the intersection with Tonkin Highway.
There is plenty of free parking. Two separate parking lots can be accessed either via Fisher St from the northwest, or via Haig St or Reid St from the southeast. The Fisher St car parks are much larger.
Ashfield train station (on the Midland line) is a few minutes walk across parkland from the Recreation Centre.
Cycle access is available along the Midland train line’s Principle Shared Path, and showers are available at the recreation centre (BYO towel and shower goods).
Our opening hours are most Saturdays, 12 noon till midnight.
Until December 2016, the Gamers Guild was located at the Rod Evans Community Centre in East Perth.
Fees
Although the Gamers Guild is an incorporated entity, it is a strictly non-profit organisation. The attendance fees are primarily used to pay the rent for the hall, public liability insurance, and other unavoidable expenses.
As of the 2023 AGM, our current fee structure is as shown in the table below.
We accept cash payments and payments via credit or debit card or mobile device via a payment terminal. If you choose to pay electronically, the prices are slightly higher due to the payment processor’s fees. We do not accept cheques or card-not-present transactions.
Annual Membership | Weekly Participation | |

Non-member | N/A | $9 cash / $9.15 electronic |

In addition to reducing or eliminating the weekly attendance fees, Standard and “Year of Saturdays” members can present their membership card to get a 10% discount at Tactics Games in Perth.
What’s On
The best place to find out what campaigns are currently running and which ones might have room for new players, or to pitch a game for new players, is the Guild’s Discord server, which you can join by clicking this Discord invitation link.
